So, I did not read these reviews before hiring USA Relocation and it would have saved me hours of frustration if I had. DO NOT HIRE this company even though they will most likely give you a quote significantly lower than their competitors. (1) They were 3 hours late to pickup my belongings, never called to tell me, never apologized. (2) Charged me double what I was quoted. This includes $12 per roll of tape used (they used 3?!), $20 to 'pack my TV' (which was taping a piece of cardboard to the front), etc etc. (3) They said they would get my stuff to me in 5 days (PA to FL) instead it took 13. Every time they told me they would be there, they weren't and it was like pulling teeth to get a hold of someone. (4) Once it did arrive, it looked like every box was thrown down a flight of stairs. I watched the drivers use other peoples boxes as a ladder to get to my boxes. (5) Furniture was scratched, glassware was broken, fridge lost a foot, furniture is missing pieces ARGH!!!!

Numerous problems:
1. The estimate was less than half of what they claimed was the final cost.
2. They asked for gratuity even before they started loading the truck.
3. They did not provide a Not to Exceed Cost prior to the move. They filled in the Not to Exceed form after they already weighed my items and had possession of all my items). This is a clear violation of the rules. These rules were established to protect the consumers.
4. They charged me based on weight. They told me I had to witness the weighing of the truck. When I approached the truck weight scales they immediately got in the truck and drove off the scales. They told me the weight of my items was over 2x the estimate. I made several requests to see the weight certificates (which they claim they have) and they never provided it. I believe they gave me a fake weight.
5. The California Public Utilities commission informed me that their moving authority was suspended during the time of my move.

Very rud and threatening nature from superviser to moving guys. They finished work in 3 hour and charged me for 5.5 hours.They came and made me sign contract. At the time of unloading they told me to pay amount. I say its too much. they said pay it now or I will leave with truck and your stuff will be auctioned in 3 days. He started leaving.I called main number of company and they said you have to pay whatever he is telling you, no arguement. We had no choice, helpless. Never ever do any signs before he give you FINAL(repeat Final) price and make him signed first. These guys are proffetional robbers.

NEVER HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! This company is dishonest and unprofessional. They did EVERYTHING wrong except for one thing: it took them a reasonable amount of time to drive to the new location from the old. Otherwise, the whole experience was a nightmare. After booking my move, I was sent a confirmation email listing the date and time (a 2-hour window between 8 and 10 AM) of the move and the hourly rate ($75) for 3 men and 1 truck. When I called the day before moving day to confirm, I was told that there was no record of my reservation on the correct day and that my move was scheduled 2 weeks later. Acting like she was doing me a favor, the representative on the phone scheduled me for the correct day, but later (between 12 and 2 PM). The next day, moving day, the movers arrived at 3:30 PM. I was disgusted, but with everything already packed, I really didn't want to stay there and postpone the move so I could hire someone else. They took 3 hours to load our already-packed stuff (I think my boyfriend and I could have done the loading in less than 2 hours), and for most of the time only 1 or 2 of the 3 men were actually working. They tossed a lot of our furniture over the upstairs balcony instead of carrying it downstairs. Then, there was the fee. They told me I had agreed to ("signed for," even) a fee of $85 per hour, even though I still had the confirmation email showing the $75 rate I had actually agreed to. Classic bait-and-switch, definitely illegal. Again acting like it was a big favor, the manager agreed to charge only the $75 per hour we had originally agreed upon. We finally arrived at our new home and were told that unloading the truck would take 2.5-3 hours, even though all they were doing was pulling everything off the truck and putting it down on the driveway a few feet away. I disagreed, but it didn't seem to matter. We moved everything into the place from the driveway ourselves. They left an hour and 15 minutes later, meaning we paid for 45 minutes after they'd already left. By then, it was after 10PM and I had to move things into the place, unpack, and get settled, then leave for work at 7AM the next day. We found that most of our furniture was scratched and damaged; 2 months later we're still fixing things. Save yourself the trouble and call a REPUTABLE mover, or use U-Haul.

2/3 of their movers didn't speak english, but they couldn't follow instructions in spanish either. They ripped the top off of a desk despite my instructions to 1) not bother moving it if it was too difficult (I was moving many items in my own trucks), and 2) ask for instructions on how to dismantle anything they didn't know how. they didn't do either.
Secondly they broke the ONE thing I told them to be careful with...a brand new china hutch. They didn't pack or pad it at all. A mirror is broken, a glass shelf is broken, a glass door is cracked.
They flippantly said no worries, our liability will pay for it 100%. We've been offered $45 for >$1000 of damage, except we have to pay to notorize the paperwork so we won't even net the $45. What should have cost $700, cost $1700 + 3 broken lamps, 1 broken 40" TV, 1 broken china hutch, and 1 destroyed desk.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

OMG this was the worst move ever. My moving quote was off by nearly double half my items got wrecked and there was no customer service at all.

I have no choice but to chalk this up as a lesson learned but will do what I can to warn others of this nightmare moving company!

I moved up North and through Evergreen Moving which said they were NOT a broker.. instead they gave me to this USA Relocation (In Florida. there is one in California which is NOT part of this group at all and in fact were fighting this other relocation company for Fraud)
So, some of the things that happened.
-Over estimated the weight by at least a ton
-No one showed up to move the furniture till 1am (they were supposed to be there by 4pm)
-They destroyed 80% of my things and I ended up missing a ton of other boxes which were numbered and counted before they picked them up.
-They held my stuff for two months but then it took another month and a half to get the stuff from them again. When i called the owner started screaming at me on the phone telling me how for me to call and request that they deliver my stuff that it was F*KING EASY over and over again.
- they set fire to my king size mattress and the 'Claim' was set as $650. But they decided to just not do anything instead of pay

7/26/2010 I started to consider this company but decided against it once I saw these reviews. One thing that is confusing is they have 2 addresses - one in Van Nuys and one in Tarzana. They also have 2 names. According to the BBB website, USA Relocation Inc. is aka USA Moving & Storage. The BBB gave this company a Grade F (http://www.la.bbb.org/...) because:

"We strongly question the company's reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law's licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company's industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."

Thanks to the other posters for posting and saving me a possible headache!

They arrived on time. We packed all the minor items in boxes and they packed our sofas and some items. The foreman told me that he will estimate the weight based on the area approximately. I thought he will be fair and some 100-200 lbs either way is OK. Once the loading was done he said that the estimate of the weight is 6000 lbs. I was shocked since we were expecting some 3000 lbs. Then I requested him to go to a weighing bridge and weigh the truck. I had to force him by showing nearest location. When we weighted it came to 3700 pounds. He was literally trying to ripoff around $1200. It is 60% more. Then he charged me for tape and packing materials he used for packing sofa and beds which earlier mentioned as free. He charged me $275 for just tape and packing material. When I contested that the manager of the company told me that he will reduce it to $200 and if not he will re dump the goods which is just black mailing. Never hire this company. They quote less and then they cheat you.

USA Relocation in my opinion is the absolute worst. They are rude, unprofessional, and treat people like they are fools.

They brokered my items to a third party company that tried hard to please but the fact is they where clueless and broke many items did not speak English where dirty and took twice as long to deliver as promised.

Oh did I mention it cost me nearly $500.00 dollars more for that service!

This Florida Company failed at every level. I have moved many times over the years and never had damage at the level experienced with USA Relocation and Transfer. Late pick up, late delivery, bad quote, an effort to re-negotiate the deal as quoted and damage from poor packing and handling. The first indicator was showing up two days late in an old recycled Ryder truck. Their insurance handler is no better and the demand to arbitrate has been agnored.

We contacted Nationwide Moving Services and they were SO unprofessional and said the day before, they could not move us (still charged us 468 deposit). So we used one of their broker companies, USA RELOCATION & TRANSFER.

ALL OF OUR BELONGINGS WERE DESTROYED AND MANY BEYOND REPAIR. WE HAVE THE MANAGER OF THE STORAGE COMPANY THAT WAS THERE WHEN THE DRIVERS ARRIVED AND IS A WITNESS TO ALL THE DAMAGE DONE TO OUR BELONGINGS, MISPACKING, LOOSELY PACKING OF THE TRUCK, BOXES PACKED HALF FULL AND ALL COLLAPSED. ALONG WITH PICTURES AND THE ADMITTANCE FROM THE DRIVERS (TO US AND THE MANAGER) THAT THEY SCREWED UP AND THAT IT WAS CLEARLY ALL THEIR FAULT (EXACT WORDS) THE OWNER WOULD NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE US.

THE DINING TABLE WAS DESTROYED AND ALL 4 LEGS BROKEN (2 BROKEN OFF), CHAIRS WERE ALL SCRATCHED UP, THE NEW GUN CABINET WAS DENTED, WORK OUT EQUIPMENT WAS BROKEN IN HALF, CURIO CABINETS WERE SMASHED WITH BROKEN GLASS, OUR BRAND NEW ENTIRE BEDROOM SUITE WAS DENTED, SCRATCHED, SMASHED, BROKEN. ALL THE FURNITURE WAS DENTED, SCRATCHED UP AND OR BROKEN. MIRRORS AND PICTURES WERE BROKEN, THE TRACTOR WAS DENTED AND WILL NOW NOT ENGAGE TO DRIVE, THE TRAILER WAS DENTED.

OFFICE FURNITURE WAS DESTROYED WITH HOLES IN IT AND THE WHEELS ON THE BOTTOM WERE RIPPED OFF, STEREO CABINET WAS DENTED UP, A SILK PLANT WAS BROKEN INTO PIECES, BUFFET TABLE WITH WOOD BROKEN OFF, LAMPS WERE BROKEN, ANTIQUES WERE DESTROYED, WALL UNIT SHELVING WAS SCRATCHED, BROKEN, DENTED UP AND THE CABINET HANDLES WERE PULLED OFF OF THE FRONT. END TABLES WERE DESTROYED, CEDAR CHEST WAS ALL CHIPPED UP, ANTIQUE CHAIRS WERE ALL SCRATCHED UP.

ALL OF THE BOXES WERE HALF FULL AND SMASHED AND DAMAGED. NONE OF THE ITEMS IN BOXES WERE WRAPPED OR SECURED. ITEMS WERE JUST THROWN IN BOXES, PICTURES, MY CROSS COLLECTION, BOYD BEARS, WILLOW TREES, OUR HORSE COLLECTION. EVERYTHING WAS BROKEN. OUR CHINA COLLECTION, ALL OUR DISHES EVERYTHING WAS DESTROYED.
ALONG WITH THE DRIVERS LITERALLY HITTING THE HOUSE WHEN THEY DROVE UP, THEY ALSO DESTROYED THE WALL IN THE STAIRWELL ACCORDING TO 2 OF OUR REALTORS.

WE SINCERELY WONDER IF THE DRIVERS WERE ON DRUGS AND THEY TALKED ABOUT GOING OUT THAT NIGHT TO GET "DRUNK".
ALONG WITH ALL OF THIS THEY ALSO DID NOT TRANSPORT EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE THAT WAS TO BE MOVED TO OUR NEW LOCATION, AS INSTRUCTED�.INSTEAD THEY JUST LEFT A LOT OF ITEMS BEHIND. HAD THEY PACKED THE TRUCK CORRECTLY AND OR COMPLETELY THEY WOUL D HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BRING EVERYTHING.

WE HAD TO HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY TO GO OUT AND PICK UP THOSE ITEMS LEFT IN CLOSETS, THE GARAGE AND AROUND THE HOUSE. THIS COMPANY SAID THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A MESS (PER SHEILA WITH ACROSS USA) AND HOW MUCH STUFF THEY DESTROYED IN THE GARAGE AND EVERYTHING JUST THROWN IN THERE, AN ANTIQUE LAMP FOR ONE EXAMPLE WAS JUST THROWN IN A BOX UNPROTECTED AND LEFT LAYING ON THE GARAGE FLOOR.

THEY OVER CHARGED ON POUNDS AND WE FOUND OUT THEY CAN ADJUST THE WEIGHT TO SAY MORE WHEN WEIGHTED.
THE OWNER BOBBY MOTWANI WILL NOT RETURN OUR CALLS OR CALL US BACK...BUT HE WAS SURE QUICK TO CHARGE OUR CREDIT CARD.
EVERYTHING THAT WE HAD LEFT IN THE HOUSE WAS DESTROYED...ALL OUR CHILDRENS COLLECTABLES...EVERY THING THAT WAS MY GRANDMOTHERS MY HUSBANDS GRANDMOTHERS, OUR MOTHERS ETC...EVERYTHING DESTROYED.

THERE WAS NOT ONE ITEM THAT CAME OFF THAT TRUCK THAT THEY DID NOT DESTROY...AND WE HAVE PICTURES.....BEWARE...DON'T EVER USE NATIONWIDE OR USA RELOCATION & TRANSFER. NATIONWIDE WILL ALSO TRY TO HOLD YOUR ITEMS HOSTAGE WHEN THEY UNDER QUOTE you SO THEY CAN DEMAND SEVERAL THOUSAND MORE OUT OF YOU. AND BOTH COMPANIES ARE RUDE.

I called and got quotes in Dec for a move frm FL to NC.Nationwide was very cheap and I felt comfortable with the agent so I went with them.They also said my cost would'nt exceed the quote..BIG LIE!!

They first took a $830 dep before the move which was scheduled for MON, Jan 5th..They gave me a window from 8am-12pm. They finally got there at 3:30p.m. They said it would be about 5-6 hrs to load..It was over 8hrs.. I then was told we were over 2000lbs over our quote and would owe over $2000 more at the end of the move!!

I was told I would have my things in NC the next day after 3p.m...Didnt get it til WED the 7th at 10a.m. Then they showed up a guy short so they took til well after dark to unload. I talked to a Bobby from USA and told him I was very unhappy and felt they should be reported to the BBB. He then hung up and won't answer my calls.

If thats not enough they damaged ea piece of our Master Bedroom Furniture..Not sm damages either! Our armoire for example has 2 corners taken off, gashes in our dresser, headbord etc. They didnt wrap our sectional couch and its filthy along with a white chenile rocker. I have filed a claim for damages which is a 90 day process, but I am already getting the run around from Brandi @ Nationwide. DON'T USE THESE BACK WOODS COMPANIES!!!!
