Whatever you do DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I hired them to move me from NY to PA. I entered into a binding contract with them for $1729. That was based on weight. On the day of the move, they did not show up but subcontracted another company for my move who, on the day of the move, increased my agreement to $2150 because they said they didn't charge by weight but rather by the amount of furniture that would fill the truck. Because I moved on a Sunday, I could not get in contact with FMS until the next day and when I finally did contact them to tell them about my contract being broken, they completely ignored me. They did absolutely nothing to try to resolve the problem. Didn't even bother returning my phone calls. On top of that, the company they subcontracted (Official Movers) -- on top of the extra $421 they charged me on the DAY of the move, they tried to get an extra $500 out of me (the original amount of the deposit I put down with Federal Movers). Official Movers claimed the deposit I put down with Federal Movers didn't apply to them. Then, they didn't even complete the job. They didn't bring a truck big enough for all of my belongings and left a lot of items behind that they REFUSED to return to get. So I had to make 3 trips on my own from PA back to NY to retreive the rest of my items. But what makes their company even worse is that they did soooo much damage to my property. They cracked my tv, broke my glass door to my wall unit, put holes in my basement wall, scratched my dresser, bent my tv stand and lost essential screws and pieces to reassembly my furniture. They are the WORST company you could ever choose to move you. Unless you want added stress, damaged property and a company that will break their signed binding contract with you, stay as far away from Federal Moving Systems as possible! That goes double for their affiliated company, Offical Movers!

This company is the worst save your self from the horror and avoid these con men. The owner is a well known dirt bag in the moving industry and has been robbing clients for years.

This company is the worst by far they broke our furniture then told us it was that way to begin with.

The man max that I spoke to at the office was rude and had the nerve to hang up in my face when I brought up the damages they caused; I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor find another mover.

FEDERAL MOVING SYSTEMS SCAMMED ME
I orginally spoke with a gentleman name sabastian to make my reservation and pay my deposit of $350 over a month ago. I spoke with sabastian to add inventor remove inventory all the way up until the week of my move.. I was supposidly allset up to move August 7th...which was a friday..i called and spoke with a guy name chris who was a very nice guy promised me the truck would be there and said he would clal me right back within 5 min to let me know exactly what time pick up would be.. i never heard from him again... I called the number That i had been calling to speak with sabastian and the number was disconnected. I called for days and days no one would call me back including this chris guy.. I called again august 6th 2009 the day before my move and spoke with a guy named tim tim acted as if he didnt even no i was moving. then he proceeded to tell me that the truck was full and they would have to move me the following week.. this WAS THE DAY B 4 MY MOVE...my house was all packed up and ready to go...after calling and calling and calling... i finally end up renting a uhaul and having family help me move at the last minute as i had to get out that house... They didnt have me in the system but they sure did take my deposit... and i NEVER HEARD ANOTHER WORD from this company.. luckily my bank went into there account and gave me my 350 back as i told them i was totally scammed... federal moving systems is a huge scam and they played with me up until the day before i had to leave michigan.. and on top of that never called me again and never returned my call...and i had made reservations a month prior...the rep i was working with magically disappeard and no one else helped me ...please please dont trust this compnay this just happen to me last week..they ruined my move and made things very stressful for me and besides that they stole my deposit and gave me no service..i thought by checking with the better business bureau that they would be okay..but they are scammers
