In February, 2009 I hired All Star Moving Services to move my personal goods from Boston, MA to Arkansas. I would not want anyone else to endure this company's extremely poor service. The main reasons I chose All Star was their price.I unfortunately got what I paid for.I had very few belongings because I had sold most of them.I paid $1956.00 for the move.I unfortunately opted for the minimum insurance, $0.60 per pound per article. I should have paid for the full replacement value.The agreed delivery date was February 28 to March 1. They loaded on February 24th and unloaded on March 6th. They loaded into a smaller utility truck and told me that it would be immediately reloaded into a moving van.The goods arrived in very poor condition. The company put me in touch with their Claims Processing Center. I sent in the required forms. I have heard nothing since then. Please consider carefully before you hire this company to make your move

This was an incredibly stressful move. I was promised costs and delivery times that were never followed through on. First, the office manager quoted me costs that he claimed were binding and guaranteed but the drivers showed up and tried to charge me extra later. They claimed I had more stuff or that they would have to charge for the fact that I lived on the third floor of a walk-up. I had to argue to get the costs that I was originally promised. Then, I was told my delivery would happen on January 8th. It didn't actually arrive until January 12th. Upon delivery, they tried to charge me extra because they had to use a smaller truck to deliver my items even though they knew that I lived in SF so the streets might be a little narrow. Finally, I had a small move but they still forgot to load and deliver my futon. I then had to call everyday for several days in order to actually track down the futon and ensure it would get delivered. They made the move far more difficult than it needed to. I was often given false information or treated with little respect. I would call the office and, instead of getting an apology for the issues, they would laugh or lecture me about how they couldn't do anything about my concerns. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Firstly I would like to say that the actual moving people were very good and very informative. But one of the owners whose name I would leave out to be nice, was very very very rude. He had an attitude when explaining additional charges, stating that this wasnt a "game". who plays games with money these days is my response. The company tried to charge us an addtional 2000.00 for the items we actually had listed on our quote; the communications between the actual person you speak to in the beginning and the final people was also horrible. 2000.00 no matter how much money you have is alot, and with a new born even more. I could not believe how rude the management was... and sadly and stupidly they will be missing out on alot of work due to this. I have no problem paying for something if I am told upfront not a day before, and the day of. They also sent two people to lift a 6 draw dresser with no straps...i mean come on. Anyway there is no need to respond back to me and there with be no referrals to the 10 other people that i know are moving due to our company. I will never use or recommend this company even to my worst enemy. Just for a visiual, we have a 1 bed room 700 and sum sqft apt, with nothign but clothes and a few walmart, put that shit together yourself items.
