Super happy with their service. Moved from MD to VA. On time, no nonsense, hard working, I would recommend them highly!

This is the worst moving company I have ever had to deal with. I can't imagine why they are still in business. I have read other reviews and they pull the same scam on everybody. They give a low quote and then pull the bait and switch on you. The cubic footage scam. You end up paying more than a reputable company would have charged. DON'T USE THEM!!! You will be sorry!

DON'T USE THEM!! Don't be fooled by their low ball quotes! They will pull their cubic footage scam on you! This company should be put out of business. I can't believe they area allowed to do business in this country. They all should be in prison.

DO NOT USE MEGA MOVERS! These guys will give you a quote but then charge you something totally different, such as $5 more an hour and charge for moving pads that were suppose to be FREE. We were told the additional cost would be around $30 when we asked if it would be around $100�.funny how it actually turned out to be $92 in the end!!
THEY DO NOT READ ENGLISH!!! We pain stakingly marked every box for each room and if it was Heavy or Fragile (or both)�.yet everything time they came in the door they ask �where does this go?� THEY TAPE EVERYTHING for no reason!!! In the 6 times I have moved I have never seen tape until these guys showed up!! Why does anyone need to use that much tape if any at all!

DO NOT USE MEGA MOVERS! These guys will give you an estimate based upon your inventory. sure I've these couches around this many boxes, etc. But they charge you based upon cubic feet used in the truck. so for the quote we were given $1.50 per cubic foot up to 980 (this is only realized much much later). we used 1200 square feet and for every cubic foot after 980 it was $5.00 plus $350 in "packing supplies" (they used four boxes from home depot, we counted... and some tape) This mysterious 1200 cubic feet was estimated by counting bolts on the side of the truck. This increased our cost by $1250 (2x the quoted price). not to mention the "stair fee" that both the loader and unloader attempted to gain although it had been "waived" by the salesperson. On top of all of this their credit card machine "broke down" and the driver wanted cash. Sure buddy. After discussing the additional charges and the broken credit card machine with the manager I was told that they would put our stuff in storage and we "might" get it in ten days for $200 less. This is after the driver wanted to make the drive from Blacksburg, VA to RI in one day. To accomodate them I agreed and drove till three in the morning to NY then woke up early to meet them in RI. After not showing up we called the driver who said they would not be there until the next day. WRONG ANSWER! We eventually convinced them to show up by 9:00 PM. They unloaded the unlit truck by throwing boxes arbitrarily and asking us to help them unload!? To sum it all up they damaged my new apartment with my couch, broke multiple items, lost part of my son's crib, overcharged me by 100%, asked me to assist in the move, lied to me, and generally ruined my faith in humanity. DO NOT USE MEGA MOVERS! Worst company ever!

These people are a nightmare. They totally scammed my elderly parents, who hired them to move their stuff out of their home to my home. My parents originally hired Sunstate Movers, who portrayed themselves as a fullservice moving company. They came with a Sunstate labelled van and took the furniture. When the stuff finally showed up -- days late -- it was in a van labelled Mega Movers. They charged us extra because they didn't want to pull their van up our driveway because they were loaded so heavily with many so other people's things that they were afraid the thing would tip over if they went onto the shoulder of the road. They weren't kidding, as we found out when they finally unloaded the furniture: every item was damaged and about half of them were pretty near totally destroyed. I've never seen anything like it. I can't even imagine what they DID to the stuff. Dropped it out of buildings?? Two sofas and two chairs were shipped -- all four had their frames completely crushed by having had other furniture piled on top of them. A table arrived with two legs literally BROKEN off. One of the sofas was mysteriously missing all its cushions(?!!) Almost everything else had numerous dents and scratches and scrapes. The guys who delivered it told us all this wasn't their fault because they were contractors for "Mega Movers" -- a completely separate company from "Sunstate." But in fact they appear to be the same company and appear to have pulled this trick with other people whose furniture they've trashed. They must be so used to dealing with angry customers that they have a well-practiced shtick for being able to sneak out the door without getting blamed for it. They told us to make an insurance claim -- but when we spoke to my parents it turned out that the insurance "policy" on the move was ridiculous, with a dollar per pound limit that wouldn't repay anything except yard sale junk. Awful! I hope other people considering this company read the numerous online warnings first. And I feel awful that my parents got so badly scammed by these clowns. Please don't ship ANYTHING with either Sunstate or Mega Movers. You'd be better off holding a yard sale -- at least that way your stuff would be going to somone who will use it, rather than being destroyed by these crooks!
