The initial estimate, which was explained to me as based on weight, was actually based on square footage. The $1200 estimate turned into $3000. Communication from their Houston office was poor; I had to call when the didn't show up as planned. One of the movers picking things up in Louisiana walked off the job because he was upset with the other guy. There was very little damaged, but I would have chosen someone else and the entire experience was disturbing and slimey.

Terrible service. They do not respond to your calls. I scheduled a delivery date many times over, and they were very prompt in collecting the associated fees and storage bill, but refused to return my calls in regards to delivery. I had to hound them 5 times a day, and never got a clear answer where my stuff was. It was 1 week late from the delivery date. Meaning I had to sit in an empty apartment, not knowing when or if my stuff would arrive.

I would not recommend using eagle van lines to my worst enemy. I called the company multiple times (roughly 30 over a 2 week period, not exagerating) and left messages, but was never called back or was always transferred to a line that was not answered. They added 5 extra charges at the time of pickup that I was not informed of when getting the bid. My original bid was $1375 and I am trusting person; at the time of the move I was told that the total cost would be $2100, after reviewing my emailed contract I figured the max I would be charged would be roughly $1500 (minus the extra $200 in hidden fees). They have a 10 day window to move your things into your new place beyond the date of requested move (I was not told about this).

I agree with the other poor reviews by people, I only wish I would have read them prior to my experience.

I am currently still waiting for my things and have had to make myself a burden on others so I can have a bed to sleep in.

In closing, I hope that eagle van lines goes bankrupt so that no one else will have to experience what I have.
