Wow, this was the single worst experience of my life and I have dealt with some serious blows. I was quoted $1,800 for a one bedroom apt move (no dining room) - so a master bedroom and living room.
They picked up my stuff and brought it to my new home state and told me the balance was almost $4,000 (after paying the initial $1,000 down). I explained I don't have that; I had budgeted for the quoted amount. Stephanie said then they would auction my stuff to pay the balance. I asked what would happen to the remainder of the sales since I have a big a$$ tv and electronics in there, after she pays the balance with the auction. She said "we keep it. Everything belongs to us if you don't pay within 30 days". I said "you are asking for 3x the quoted price; I need time to get the money together!" She said no. I noticed the cords to my tv were gone and the surround sound (later after I unpacked). Thank God it wasn't too costly to replace.
In addition to the cost, they charged me $600 for a broker fee bc when I filled out the form online, Brad from Budget Van Lines called me and forwarded our call to Statewide. For that 20 second transaction, Brad was paid $600 BY ME. Which I never agreed to and was never explained to me. OMG this was terrible. Please do not use this company. They were so nice at first, I chose them because of this. Don't fall for it like I did. I took out a line of credit to pay them so I could keep my stuff; that's another thing - they only take cash or certified money order....seems a little shady to me...BEWARE
This was a good experience for me. Everything was handled well and in a timely manner. Nothing was broken or missing. It just seemed to good to be true. I must say that I did not know what to expect from this company but I am pleased in so many ways. This was actually a good time for me.
I must admit that this was a very good moving experience. Like many I hate moving, but with a responsible company like Statewide, it was very stress free! I recommend to anyone.
If I could give all negative stars I would. I'm assuming any positive reviews on here have to be from the company themselves because there is absolutely no way anyone has had a positive experience with these people. They were hours late on my pick up and days late on the delivery. They added multiple charges after they had picked up my items, so I had not choice but to pay in order to get my items delivered. My items showed up in horrendous condition, they were either seriously damaged or disgustingly dirty. When they arrived in too large of a truck I had to pay an extra $500 before they would unload anything since they couldn't drive into my complex, even though they had previous knowledge of the type of residence I lived in. DO NOT USE THEM, no matter what. The entire experience was a nightmare!!
i moved from ny to miami fl and this is the first time thet i was not ripd off i am very happy thet i movd with state wide relocation the price was fair and the cruo was great thank u state wide
After much research online we picked Statewide Relocation to do our move from TX to FL. The movers arrived at our home on moving day at 9:00 AM and began packing our items with the moving boxes they came with. The movers did a great job packing our items and we did not have one single damaged item. The moving company delivered our items quickly to our new home and we were very happy with the service. I recommend this company !!
We used Statewide Relocation for our move from Alpharetta, GA. to Miami, FL and had a positive experience. Everything went great, from the promised estimate to the actual delivery arriving at the window time we were given. They made me feel that my items are in a safe place from beginning to end. I definitely recommend them to others.
Good move, could have been a bit cheaper though., December 20, 2010 Reviewer: Kathy L from Chicago, IL to Miami, FL - See all reviews by Kathy L

The experience with Statewide Relocation has been a pleasant one. I read mixed reviews, but the sales rep was pretty knowledgeable and a lot more assuring than some of the other movers I spoke with.
The movers at my pickup in Chicago were very friendly and wrapped everything up pretty well. I paid an extra $125 to have them package a few glass items that I had forgotten to mention (and for a set of stairs), but otherwise my price was accurate.
All my stuff got here (in good condition) in time for the holidays, which was my biggest concern. I'm writing this review because I read mixed reviews on Statewide and felt they deserved the positive feedback. I was really scared about moving cross country with thousands of scary moving company stories, but now I feel good knowing I have a mover I can count on.
They could have been a little cheaper, but nevertheless I will be recommending them to my friends.
I couldn't even begin to tell you how horrible this company was to deal with. I beg anyone even remotely considering these guys to save your self from a nightmare and find another mover.
This has been the worst experience of my life. This company jacked up the quote when they arrived (early by the way). The drivers came in reeked of some sort of smoke and were very crass with me. They had bad attitudes.
Then once everything was packed they jacked up the price on me, bigtime, to 5,000 when the initial quote was under 2.
When they arrived I had several items broken, which I am currently in the claim process. I would ask anyone out there who is considering moving to NOT use these clowns.
The estimate they gave me was $1900; the actual cost was a little over $3000. They were 2 days late picking up my stuff and were very rough moving it. The crew that picked up my stuff did not run my credit card correctly and I was accused of not paying twice. Luckily, I had all my paper work and was able to prove otherwise. Extremely rude customer service. My contact agent, Babs, set the wheels in motion and I never was able to get on the phone with her again. I was passed around to one rude person after the next, all of whom accused me of not paying. Finally, I dealt with a woman named Maya who insisted I find a Kinkos while I was driving cross country and fax them my receipts, at my own experience, to prove it was their mistakeand I had actually paid. My things were 2 weeks late in arriving to my destination. They lost my bed side table, two chairs, broke my TV stand and chipped a corner off of my bedroom dresser. I lost track of how many dishes and glasses they broke. They even managed to break a steel fan. This was by far the most stressful move Ive ever had. I move every two years. These guys gave a reasonable estimate but didnt stick to it. Ruined a lot of my things. If you care about your things and well being, please avoid Statewide Relocation
