I am glad I used BR Movers. They are the anesthetic of movers. Taking all the pain away - they packed everything. This was included in my price ahead of time so no surprises. Which was surprising in itself! Thanks!

Good moving company. They were about 25 minutes late, but they let me know of the delay, which I can appreciate. Moved my furniture very carefully and took care to keep my floor clean as well. Also much appreciated. The movers communicated details very well before we started moving furniture. I enjoyed speaking with the people in their reservations department and will use this company again for my next move. Thank you.

This company use low quote as attraction. Once you pick their service, they start robbing money form you. I get quote as $950 with 300 cubic feet. But, they finally charged me $1500 for 450 cubic feet. And before delivering, they asked me sign a terrible form that never mentioned in contract. The following contents are from the form, and you can see how they treat their customers.

&quot;I understand that the following specifications apply to the questionnaire above and are relevant based on my answers:
* Earliest date of delivery is not guaranteed. Any type of delay in which the driver cannot contact me, will result in additional charges for re-delivery of items as well as storage
*Flights & Stairs carry: price per flight (12steps):$75.00
* Long Carry: each 75 Ft: $75.00
*Shuttle Service at Destination: $300.00 (up to 500 Cu.Ft)
*Re-Delivery: $500.00 (up to 500 Cu.Ft),
*Waiting Service: price per hour: $150.00 Full Day: $650.00
*Storage Service: price per 100Cu.Ft per month: $50.00

Horrible.

1) They said they would be there between 8 and 10 and showed up close to 11:00

2) We were charged for the time that they stopped for a sit down lunch and for the time that the foreman had a break down (1 1/2 hours total @ $100 per hour)

3) We were overcharged by double the amount of our quote

4) The foreman was verbally aggressive and threatened to leave with our stuff if we did not pay the overpayment

I used BR Movers recently and was pleasantly surprised. I am glad I didn't listen to the fake review I saw on this site (they are just copied and pasted by some vengeful person, I mean come on, Eastern European Crime Syndicate? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, they have a DOT Number and a Motor Carrier Number). But more to the point, I moved from coast to coast and everything went really well! I got the Full Service Packing option which included all the materials and since I gave them a list ahead of time nothing changed on the move day. The items got there in 13 days and everything is in perfect shape! I wish I had reserved with them sooner and saved myself the hassle of dealing with all these phone calls. BR Movers is the best of the best. Highly recommended!

These guys are a total scam. I wish that I had read some of the reviews below and avoided this company like the plague they are. Their customer service is worthless and they rip off their customers and then yell at them on the phone. They are some sort of Eastern European syndicate who seem to hold your stuff hostage. I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and discovered just how terrible their service is. They will nickel and dime you to death and keep your stuff and try to charge you for things that you would get free elsewhere. Please folks, avoid this company- they are nothing but trouble and should be avoided.

BR Movers made my cross country moves one of the most stressful times in my life. Never have I felt so taken advantage of by a company. I understand that I am given an estimate, and I did think that I would end up paying more than what the woman at BR movers estimated, but never did I think they would charge me an additional $700.00. On top of the additional increase in price, I was forced to leave items of furniture or else the price would have been $2,500.00. When I spoke with Juila about the possiblilty of adding additonal items she told me not to worry, that it wasn't necessary to add over the phone and that I would be taken care of once the movers arrived. And boy, was I &quot;taken&quot; care of.

The movers were and hour and half late, rude and knew that they were able to take advantage of me and my mother because they knew we needed their services. This move could not have been any easier for BR movers. We packed the boxes, had them and many items in one room and even got up early to reserve space on the street for the truck. This guy who waltzed into my home had no systimatic way of coming up with a new estimate, he threw out a number and it was like being a flee market haggeling with him for my belongings. Furthermore, in trying to help the movers we had loaded our truck full of mirrors and hanging pictures, a mini fridge etc to try and help them. However, when we brought up the point that we had taken some of the items on the original contract and packed them in our own car so could they please take additional items like a rug..they refused. He also started throwing out additional costs to &quot;pack things&quot; like my furniture. Which I understand, it needed to be wrapped to protect them as well...but it was $90.00 for tape! Outrageous! They were only a slightly bit more pleasant after we told them we would be paying them in cash. After a tearful and stressful afternoon, I left my DC house without 2 couches, an end table, coffee table, rug, dining room set, and patio set.

BR movers assured me serveral times that they would give me 48Hrs notice before my items would arrive at my new location in Chicago. Wrong again! I was given less than 12 hours notice. So what I thought would be at least a 2 days heads up ending up being a little less than half a day. The shock doesn't end there. When my mother and I finally arrived in Chicago the next day, the driver of the moving truck called to say he was an hour behind us at around 5:30pm. Two hours later, at 7:30pm the truck arrived and ONE 60+ year old man gets out and he proceeded to unload the truck himself. My boxes were destroyed. Boxes that had been labled &quot;This Side Up&quot; were turned over, boxes were crushed and smashed. It took the man 3 hours to unload all my belonging. It was horrible how they had treated my things. I lost several plates, wine glasses, picture frames, and an irriplaceable items from traveling abroad.

If you want an unreliable company that treats your business like a joke, runins your things, and will help your stress level go through the roof then I suggest you pick BR movers. I am so dissapointed that there are businesses out there like this one, that think it is acceptable to take advantage of its customers. I don't understand how anyone associated with this aweful business sleeps at night. Pay attention to the Better Business Bureau ratings, this company has a D- for a reason. They were absolutly horrible to work with. They sucked me in by acting nice and helpful and then did a full bait in switch, including making me sign a whole new contract on the day of my move. They are an appalling company. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS, YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU DO!

Unfortunately you can't give zero stars. This moving company is the epitome of a trainwreck.
I started planning a move from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles in late May and early June and unfortunately didn't Yelp this company prior to my search.
Their website was convenient and their quotes for moving were among the lower ones...but now I see why.
The only people I respect at this company was the foreman and the three movers who came to move my stuff on moving day. They were polite, respectful, and returned phone calls. The foreman even said to me, &quot;You know, the moving company has it's roots in the mafia and a lot of it is still run that way.&quot;
So to the start, my saleswoman was Jennifer, who I must admit was polite and seemed to care about my plight. I was arranging a move from PA to CA with only 28 boxes and a coffee table (pretty easy, right? I was way under their minimum). I was told that the standard time was 10-14 days but since they owned the trucks, she thought it could get there within a week since it was such a small move. I understood that it may be two weeks but was hopeful.
On moving day, things went smoothly.
A week went by.
I heard nothing, so I called and couldn't get through to anyone. Jennifer told me, &quot;Oh, yeah, my answering machine has been acting weird.&quot; So who knows. She works out of the office, not out of the warehouse, so gave me a number to contact.
I called that number on Day 6, telling them that I was originally told my stuff would be there in a week. The lady was quite rude to me and actually hung up on me. I called back and was told I'd hear the next day.
Next day came, still didn't hear, so I called again and was told again by the woman that the following day I would get a guaranteed date and time.
Next day came, still nothing. So I called again and was directed to the office where a gentleman named Prosper came on and was supposedly the only one who could help me. He was amazingly rude and was angry at me because I was told by someone in his company that I would get a date and time. He yelled at me and told me I was insulting his intelligence when I said, &quot;You're cutting me off, I'm trying to explain as I don't think you're understanding my situation.&quot;
Oh, and where was my stuff on it's journey from PA to CA 8 days into it? In Maryland. My car got out here from another mover in four days time, just to use that as point of reference.
My things finally arrived fifteen days later. I could understand that my asking for it in a week was not likely but when I'm told 10-14 days by a company that had my money and my stuff, I expect it then.
When I saw the boxes, things marked &quot;Fragile&quot; were crumpled and under heavy boxes. I had two garment boxes, one of which they let crumple so the bar fell down. The other was actually placed here upside down.
I haven't even opened everything up yet to see if things are broken because I am so angry at this company.
Whatever you do, even if you have to go the post office and mail your stuff, do not use BR movers. They are rude, they lie to you, they yell at you, and they are clearly careless with your belongings.
